The Minelab Equinox 600 features a sturdy design with a straight shaft equipped with a removable handle. The lower shaft is made of carbon, and the shafts are connected by clamping collars. The armrest is standard, but before sales begin, modifications are expected to be made to its design, which will include an additional mounting point for a Power Bank battery (to recharge the main battery).The built-in wired Li-Ion battery of the latest generation is located in the handle, with a claimed battery life of 10 hours.
The Equinox can be charged from any device with a USB output using a Power Bank. The metal detector is equipped with a wireless audio communication system and comes with Bluetooth technology headphones. The package includes an 11 DD search coil, and coils of other sizes: 6 DD and 15x12 DD will also be available for sale.
The Minelab Equinox 600 metal detector has an informative and clear target identifier. Indicative values range from -9 to 0 for ferrous objects and from 0 to 40 for detecting more valuable objects, silver with higher conductivity, and gold with moderately high conductivity.
