In its architecture, the TX-850 features a standard S-shaped shaft, adjustable in length, and a convenient U-shaped armrest with a strap for securing the elbow. It comes standard with one large DD search coil 8.5x11", which is used by the metal detector to search for and locate objects. The coil is made in a waterproof design and can be submerged in water up to the full length of the cable up to the connector.
To conduct search surveys, the metal detector is able to distinguish between ferrous and non-ferrous metals, has a linear discriminator to exclude undesirable iron targets from the search, a large LCD screen, and automatic ground balancing.
